Panel discussion with ECH members at the Sustainability Day of the Department of Sociology

The first Sustainability Day of the Department of Sociology on 17 April 2024 focused on the challenges of sustainability:

Yuri Kazepov, Professor of Urban Sociology, kicked off the event with his lecture on “The Challenges of Sustainability,” followed by a presentation of selected academic theses and projects addressing sustainability by the Sustainability Working Group (AGNIS).

In the afternoon, the documentary film “The Anthropocene: The Age of Mankind” preluded a panel discussion with ECH members Alexandra Brausmann (environmental economics) and Eva Horn (German and cultural studies), as well as the ECH Co-Director Thilo Hofmann (environmental sciences), which was moderated by Yuri Kazepov and Michaela Pfadenhauer from the Department of Sociology. The audience was invited to ask questions.
