You always wanted to make your neighbourhood more ecological, but you do not know where to start? You want to know what is happening in Vienna to adapt the city to climate change? And you want to get to know the minds behind the numerous projects?

Then join the first ECH Climate Walk on 28 May in the 7th district of Vienna! You can meet the initiators of the green transformation of the Neubau district and exchange ideas with them.

For the first time, we will be organising a walk on the topic of “Climate-Resilient Cities” together with Climate Walk Austria on 28 May 2024 as a pre-event to our evening event “Umwelt im Gespräch” (Environmental Dialogue).

The urban psychologists Cornelia Ehmayer-Rosinak and Addi Wala as well as Georg Ratheiser, climatologist and managing director of “Weatherpark“, will share their expertise with interested walkers and committed citizens of the Grätzloase. They have all worked on various projects in the 7th Viennese district. In recent years, they have made the Neubau district greener, cooler, and more ecological:

Our speakers give you an insight into their exciting projects, such as the transformation of parking lots into green relaxation oases, the development of Lerchenfelderstrasse street into a “climate-fit” zone, or the greening of Neubaugasse street. So we will ‘come along’ a wide range of topics of climate-resilient urban design in just one and a half hours together.

In cooperation with Climate Walk Austria, we invite all participants to ask questions and to get in touch with the experts in the field.

After the Climate Walk, all walkers are welcome to participate in our evening event “Umwelt im Gespräch“.
