Kick-off event for the lecture series ‘Environment, Climate, Sustainability: From Knowledge to Action’
October 13th, 2025, 6pm - 8pm
Ballroom, Vienna City Hall
Program
What can we do at the local and regional level to combat climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental pollution? How do we move from describing and explaining the problems and designing solutions to implementing them? Who is this ‘we’ anyway – who must and can take action? What prevents solutions from being implemented and how can we prevent this in the future?
These and many other questions will be addressed in the transdisciplinary lecture series ‘Environment, Climate, Sustainability: From Knowledge to Action’, which will take place at the University of Vienna in the winter semester 2025/26.
The kick-off event at Vienna City Hall will focus on the questions: What have we actually achieved so far and what can we learn from this for the future?
