The content of the Climate Fresk, which originated in France, is based on the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and provides an interactive approach to climate science. The workshop is about understanding the causes and consequences of the climate crisis and using this understanding to develop positive solutions jointly. In small groups, complex interrelationships are presented and steps for change are explored, using scientifically sound content on playing cards.
The Sustainability Office and the Environment and Climate Research Hub are pleased to offer the Climate Fresk experience to University of Vienna employees and students. We want to provide a space to actively engage with the topic of climate change.
We offer two sessions for students (one in German and one in English) and two sessions for employees (in German). Each session lasts around three to four hours. In the sessions for students a maximum of fourteen participants are possible, the sessions for employees have a maximum capacity of seven per session. Participation is free of charge, but a binding registration is required.
